300 x 400 cm Rugs
Find rugs with a 300 × 400 cm size option, also written as 400 × 300 cm or 3 × 4 metres. This generous rectangular size can bring a spacious seating area together or help define a dining zone in an open-plan room.
Select the 400X300CM or equivalent 300 × 400 cm option on the product page. Some designs also come in smaller sizes, so a product's “from” price may refer to another size. The selected variant shows the applicable price and availability.
Will a 3 × 4 metre rug fit?
Mark out a 3 metre by 4 metre rectangle with removable tape before ordering. Measure the room, furniture footprint and the space needed for doors and walking routes. Rotating the rectangle changes how it sits in the room, but does not change its dimensions.
In a living room, consider how the sofa and chairs will sit on the rug. A cohesive seating area usually works better than a rug chosen only to fill empty floor. In a bedroom, check how far the rug extends beside and beyond the bed, and whether bedside furniture will sit on or off it.
Planning a dining area
Measure the table with chairs pulled out as they would be during a meal. As a planning example, a 250 × 150 cm table with 75 cm clearance on every side uses a 400 × 300 cm footprint. Your chairs and room may need a different allowance. Consider pile and construction so chairs can move comfortably.
Compare materials and designs
Use the filters to compare colours, materials and styles in this size. A neutral rug can provide a quieter foundation, while a patterned design introduces a stronger focal point. Check fibre composition, pile height and cleaning instructions on the product page.
