• Care instructions: confirm how spills should be treated and whether professional cleaning is required. Material alone does not establish washability.
• Colour and pattern: compare the rug with your pet's coat colour. A varied pattern may make loose hair less noticeable between cleans, but still needs regular vacuuming.
• Backing and underlay: check compatibility with your floor and use an appropriate underlay where needed to help reduce movement.
