To maintain the rug's condition, vacuum without a beater bar/rotating brush and spot clean using water and mild detergent. When wet, the rug's backing may soften, but this is normal. Air or sun-dry the rug and its backing to return it to its original state. If cleaning or wet, remove the rug from the area and turn it upside down to dry both the backing and the surface underneath.
When placed on an uncovered wooden patio deck, we recommend removing or flipping the rug during wet weather to prevent mould or a reaction between the latex and wood alkalis. To prolong the rug's lifespan, store it away during inclement weather and winter months.
